David Philpott joined Bloom Burton as an Analyst in March 2023. David is responsible for conducting scientific and commercial due diligence, and strategy consulting for biotechnology and healthcare companies.
David completed his PhD in Engineering from the University of Toronto under the supervision of Shana Kelley. His doctoral research focused on developing high throughput microfluidic tools for functional genomics and antibody discovery. During his studies, David was a Vanier scholar and a fellow at Amplitude Ventures and Flagship Pioneering. David holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Engineering Physics from McMaster University.
